Psalm 145:18-20 promises the Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear Him, He hears their cries and saves them. And the words of Jesus offer us comfort: "These things I have spoken to you, that in "Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world" (John 16:33). As believers we know that God loves us and that He will protect us. In times of hardship, He will comfort us; In times of sorrow He will dry our tears. When we are troubled or weak or sorrowful, God is always with us. We must build our lives on the Rock that cannot be shaken: we must trust in God. And then we must get on with the hard work of tackling our problems- because if we don't who will? Or should? Let us face the difficulties of our day, because God is our rock, and so we can overcome any adversity just as Jesus overcame the world.  ~2 Samuel 22:2-3
