With so many instantaneous forms of communication today, our impatience with hearing a reply from others is sometimes laughable! Sometimes we feel that God has let us down, because He has not provided an immediate answer to our prayers. Often our attitude becomes “answer me quickly Lord, my spirit fails ” (Psalm 143:7).

But waiting for the Lord can transform us into a people of growing faith.

Remember King David spent many years to be crowned king while fleeing from Saul’s wrath! Psalm 27:14, encourages us to wait on the Lord- His timing is perfect!

When we become frustrated with God’s apparent delay in answering our prayers, it is good to remember that God loves us and is interested in developing faith and perseverance in our character. Today let us learn to trust Him and wait on His timing! Psalm 40:1
