Are you willing to focus your thoughts and energies on God’s blessings and upon His will for your life? Or will you turn your thoughts to other things? This day and everyday hereafter is a chance to celebrate the life that God has given you. It is also a chance to give thanks to the One who has offered you more blessings than you can possibly count. Today, why not focus your thoughts on the joy that is rightfully yours in Christ? Why not take time to celebrate God’s glorious creation? Why not trust your hopes instead of your fears? When you do, you will think optimistically about yourself and your world and you can then share your optimism with others.

They will be better for it and so will you. Let us ask the Lord to help us to face this day with a spirit of optimism and thanksgiving. And let us focus our thoughts on Him and His incomparable gifts. — Proverbs 4:25-27
