Jesus promised us a Comforter, the Holy Spirit, to be with us always and to give life to our mortal bodies. With those promises, we are heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ. We are in God’s family, and none or nothing can take that away from us. Life may bring certain challenges and times of suffering, but the rewards that have been promised are greater than we can possibly imagine. Therefore, we should celebrate the love of God and let His spirit be alive in all that we do each day. Throughout the Bible, God promises to speak to us, but we must listen to His voice. To listen actively we must come before the Lord with expectations in our hearts, eagerly anticipating Him speaking to us. This is the essence of prayer. The conversation we have with God in prayer will bring comfort. God is waiting to listen and speak to our hearts. He is just a conversation away. We can talk to Him because He loves us so very much. Let us not wait a minute further. Talk to Him Today. He is waiting! — Romans 8:11, 16-17; Jeremiah 33:3
