JESUS CHRIST KNOWS! That is both a comfort and a challenge. We are comforted that He knows everything beneath the highly polished surface of our lives, which we show to others. He understands the true motives and purposes which guide our lives. He sympathizes with the limiting difficulties within us which hinder and debilitate. He knows what we have been through. What others cannot appreciate, He knows and appreciate. This is a comfort when we are misunderstood or unappreciated by those around us. But this is also a challenge. There is no place to hide! Jesus' X-ray vision of us penetrates and sees beneath our external front. We can fool others but not Jesus. He knows our works. He sees our positive acts of obedience to Him and also the inner rebellion and resistance to His Will and Way for us.
We cannot pretend with Jesus, so why try? Let us begin anew with Him today and allow Him to change our inner motives and values, which will produce a fresh and vital exterior for others to see. Remember Jesus Christ sees beneath the surface of our lives and He knows what we are really like. — Revelation 2:2
