Being Born Again

We become Christians because our Heavenly Father cast's out His net and catches us (so to speak). He then draws us to the person of His Son Jesus, who died for us at Calvary. Gazing upon the crucified Savior, we need to repent of our sins and put our trust in Him. Jesus brings us life. As Jesus puts it in John 6:40: "My Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life." Drawn to the Son of Man, lifted up on the Cross, we can be "born again" and receive abundant life. Whenever a person experiences the amazing grace of salvation, they do so because the Father has drawn them to Jesus Christ. Let us thank ABBA, Our Heavenly Father, for the drawing power of His love and for His amazing grace. We must thank Him for drawing us in the net of His mercy, towards the person of Jesus. Let us draw closer to God. Drawing close to God is what Jesus promised would happen in John 12:32, "I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself." Let us thank God, as we live new lives in Jesus. — John 6:44
