God wants a close relationship with us. The intimate moments we share with our Savior—praying, worshipping Him, sensing His closeness, and expressing our love for Him, are the very times when He reveals Himself to us. The Lord never intended for us merely to know about Him, He wants us to know His ways and His unconditional love for us on a deeply personal level as we go through life—to see Him as our unfailing Companion, Father, Comforter, Healer, and wonderful Friend. Therefore, let us draw close to the Father in fellowship. When we do, we shall trust Him more deeply and share the feelings and challenges we face more freely. We shall then get to know Him as our truly trustworthy Father and Friend, who loves us, provides for us, protects us, and knows us best. Let us confidently draw near to God. When we do, He will guide all our ways. –James 4:8
