The rainbow is a sign of the end of the storm. It has been a striking symbol of God's faithfulness for His people through the ages. It is in the storms of life that we need to remember the rainbow. When the rains fail, and the winds blow in life's adversities, we need the courage to remember that the storms will end and the rainbow will appear. Our God is a committed God whose promises never fail. Hosea 2:23— “I will establish my people in the land and make them prosper. I will show love to those who were called 'Unloved,' and to those who were called 'Not-My-People' I will say, 'You are my people,' and they will answer, 'You are our God.'” Our hope is not that we deserve or can measure up to God's love for us, but instead that He has chosen to be our God. Over the rainbow is the Cross. The Cross is the establishment of a new covenant of grace and forgiveness. The Cross tells us how much God loves us and the extent to which He is willing to go, to make us His own. When we look at the Cross, we know that there is a giving, forgiving, unchanging, unlimited love at the center of the universe that will never let us go. Let us rest our weary hearts and tired souls in God's unwavering promises by following God's commandments and living at the center of His will for our lives. — Genesis 9:13
