Growing In Christ

The journey toward spiritual maturity lasts a lifetime. As Christians, we can and should continue to grow in the knowledge of our Savior as long as we live. When we cease to grow, either emotionally or spiritually, we do ourselves a profound disservice. If we study God’s Word, if we obey His commandments and live at the center of God’s will, we will not be “stagnant” believers; instead, we will be growing Christians. That growth and the benefits it presents, peace, joy, closeness with God, is precisely what God wants for our lives. Let us not stop growing so we can be more like the person God intends us to be. When we do, we will be powerful forces of encouragement in the world. Are you on mission for God? Can people around you see this growth/mission in you? — 1 Corinthians 13:11
