Waiting Prayerfully

We have to wait on God when we pray. We may not know how or when He will answer, but we can put our hearts always before Him in prayer. Sometimes the answers to our prayers do not come when we would hope. Things may even go from bad to worse, but we have to keep persevering, believing, and asking. Waiting is never easy, but the result, whatever it is, will be worth it. David puts it this way, “Those who know your name trust in You, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you” (Psalm 9:10). So let us keep seeking, keep trusting, keep asking, keep praying. Time spent in prayer is always time well spent. When we encounter obstacles, it is God alone on whom we can depend. He is all-powerful, and there is none greater than Him. God’s great power deserves our grateful praise. — Psalm 66:4; Psalm 9:10
