Though we may falter in our faith and question God’s love, He remains forever faithful. Even when we doubt His promises, or do not feel close to Him, or choose to sin, His faithfulness still “reaches beyond the clouds” (Psalm 36:5). We can be sure God will do all He said He would do (1 Thessalonians 5: 24; 2 Thessalonians 3:3). God’s perfect character backs up His promises. In those times, when we do not feel close to God, let us remind ourselves that His feelings for us have not changed. It is not a matter of how we feel at the moment, but the fact of the rock-solid faithfulness of God. Trusting God’s faithfulness dispels our fearfulness. — Psalm 36:5
