Prayer is meditating in a way that our minds and hearts focus on God's positive power and not just our perplexities. We need not be anxious when we can turn everything over to the Lord of the universe. Our prayers are to be an honest statement of our need and then thanksgiving for the fact that the Lord has heard us and will act for our ultimate good. Then peace will replace problematic living. Peace beyond all understanding will flood our hearts from that which distresses us. Prayer is a time to reflect on positive thoughts about Christ and what He can do with our problems. Let us today and everyday praise and thank God for His goodness to us in all the difficulties and perplexities of life. What God has done for us should heighten our expectations of what He will/still do. Praise opens the heart! The more we praise God, the more we are ready to accept His blessings for us. Let us use Psalm 42 as a model to talk to God and let Him speak to us. –Psalm 42:1
