The Christian life is not a life of minimum joy but a full and overflowing life. Our purpose in following Christ should not be merely to avoid eternal punishment. If that is our primary motivation, we miss the wonders and joys and victories of getting closer to Jesus. The Lord promised us “life—more abundantly.” We cannot experience a full and abundant life if we are living in fear. When we walk by faith, we will see each day of the Christian life as a challenge to be met and as an upward step to glory! Let us not live minimally, but live life to the maximum!” God has given life abundantly. Let us live for Christ, and live fully every day. — John 10:10
