A Stress-free Existence

Many Christians live anxiously, not fully experiencing the rest of salvation that accompanies the forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. A closer look at this anxiety might reflect our doubts and perhaps the failure to tap into the “quietness and trust” that comes to those who daily fellowship with God through Bible study and prayer (Isaiah 30:15). Let us not allow ourselves to be victims of fruitless fretting because when we do, we lose the peace and joy that are our rightful heritage as children of God! Instead, let us set aside part of each day to talk with God, thanking God for who He is and what He does for us. By reading God's Holy Word and believing His encouraging assurances, our faith will grow more robust, and a supernatural “peace that surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7). When we give our problems to God, He gives us His divine peace. — Philippians 4:6-7
