The Power and the Glory

The last sentence of the Disciple’s Prayer ascribes to God the kingdom, power, and glory (Matthew 6:13 KJV). These three great qualities of God meet the most significant needs of our lives: (1) We need to accept the absolute rule of God over all areas of our lives. (2) We need to receive the power of the Holy Spirit. (3) We need to behold, experience, and live by the glory of God’s presence. As Christ-followers, we can receive grace to overcome daily pressures and experience breakthroughs with our problems. When we allow God’s will to be our will, the power to do it comes from Him. There is no limit on God’s promises and mercies available to us when we give God the glory, and surrender all to Him. — Matthew 6:13
