As sons and daughters of the Lord God Almighty, prayer should be an exhilarating and inspiring delight. Prayer should no longer feel perhaps unsure, unclear, or uncertain as to a distant figure but rather an intimate conversation with a loving Father and dear friend. Through Jesus, a new understanding of God has been activated. A new way of relating to God has been initiated with the indwelling help of the Holy Spirit, made possible through Jesus Christ. Oh, what an exciting privilege. So let the adventure of true prayer commence. Heavenly Father, please teach us to pray in the Spirit and the name of your Son, Jesus Christ. — John 16:24
