When we need guidance and direction, we must turn to God in devotion and prayers. When we grow in closer union with our Heavenly Father, the answers become clear. A relationship with Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, allows us to live in a new dispensation of grace. Through the cross, we are reconciled with God and have access to Him in a much more profound way. So many of our questions are answered in the message and mandate of Christ.
As people in Christ and intimate fellowship with Him, let us ask ourselves these questions when we are at crossroads or face a difficult situation:
– Will this decision enable us to grow in grace? – Is it God’s best for our lives? – Is it in keeping with the energy and message of Jesus Christ? – Can we do this and seek first His kingdom and His righteousness? – Is it part of the long-range goals the Lord has already revealed to us?
Finally, trusting fully in God can never steer us wrong, as is remembering that not even our bad choices are beyond His forgiveness. Abiding in the presence of the Lord and asking vital questions is a sure way for our Divine Captain to move the rudder in the direction we should go. — James 3: 4
