When we put our hope in God and rely on Him, He renews our strength. The Bible tells us in Isaiah 40:29 that “God gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” Hence, the key to overcoming life’s stresses is the endurance gained from exchanging our limited resources for God’s unlimited support. Even when days become hectic and demanding, “those who trust in the Lord will become strong again. . . . They will run and not get weak. They will walk and not get tired” (Isaiah 40:31). The psalmist exclaimed amid his weary, tearful pilgrimage, “Blessed is the man whose strength is in You” (Psalm 84:5). Oh, what an exchange, God’s infinite strength for our finite weakness! God renews our failing strength because He is a loving Father who cares for us. — Isaiah 40:29-31
