Every believer in Christ is involved in spiritual warfare every day. We can not afford therefore to enter the day complacently. British Pastor-Charles Spurgeon wrote, “If you are seeking the Lord, the devil is seeking you". We must not wait until we are attacked by Satan to think about the strategy we should use to escape the enemy of our souls. We must seek the Lord early, keenly aware that “the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (Peter 5:8). In Psalm 5, we read that David expressed his need for God’s help. He came to the Lord early in the morning, seeking His guidance and protection. Let us not move into any new day without being aware of our urgent need for the Lord. Being prepared is the best way to be ready for Satan’s attack. — Psalm 5:3
