Wouldn't yesterday have gone better had we checked in with the Lord more often? Do we not wish we had stopped and asked God for direction before making that decision? Would it not be great if calling on the Spirit to give us self-control were our way of life? It is a sobering truth that all good and bad deeds are done in God's sight. The Lord watches our busy days, quick decisions, and unplanned reactions and knows whether or not our lives honor Him. God wants us to honor Him with all we say and do, He wants our lives to radiate our love for Him, and He wants the next generation to remember us as people of faith. God's Spirit is in our lives to make these happen. Furthermore, God is not the only one watching us. When we cry out to God, the world sees God's goodness to us and watches how God responds to someone who trusts Him and who turns to Him. We know that trust in God brings deliverance. So as God blesses us and people watch Him work in our lives, we should equally keep our eyes on Him. We must remember that everything we do, absolutely everything is done in the sight of God. — 2 Kings 16:2
