Count your Blessings

The topic today, “Count Your Blessings,“ hands us a challenge. The Almighty has done gracious things for us. He saves us from sins and makes us His children; He grants us protection and provides for us. Indeed, God has been faithful! Hence, no wonder the psalmist, in adoration, said, “Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases” (Psalm 103:1-3). We should always count our blessings, appreciate God’s goodness, and serve this gracious and good God all the days of our lives. That is the secret of receiving more from Him!
A famous Hymn sings, “When upon life’s billows you are tempest-tossed, When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost, Count your many blessings, name them one by one, And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.” So, amid conflicts, great or small, do not be discouraged. God is in control. Help and comfort He will give—He promises and does not fail. Today let us count our blessings. And thank the Giver of all things good for gifts that are too numerous to count — Joshua 24: 13; Philippians 4:8
