The Bible provides all the ingredients needed for a healthy soul. Jeremiah 15:16 states, “when your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart's delight.” When we read God's Word, we have to do more than check it off our to-do list. We have to read and digest it. Thoughtful reflection on God's Holy Word is highly nutritious food for our souls. God's Word provides all the ingredients we need to thrive:
—Connection to our life sustainer and redeemer;
—Guidance on wisdom and discernment;
—Assessment of our spiritual walk;
—An avoidance route from sin; and
—A pathway to peace, hope, joy, and comfort.
So from today onwards, make God's Word a priority, for it indeed prepares a special life-changing feast. — Jeremiah 15:16
