There are three ways to live. The first is to do our will on our power, which is humanism; the second is to do our will on Christ's power, which represents religion; the third is to do God's will with Christ's power that is the abundant life Christ promises us. God creates in us an emptiness that,
- Makes the Good News message of the gospel compellingly clear,
- Gives rise to a desire for forgiveness and a new life,
- Requires acceptance of Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior,
- Is rewarded by the unearned gift of Salvation, needed to launch out into the adventure of the abundant and eternal life.
Each new possibility or problem presents us with an opportunity to be given renewed power for the immediate circumstance. Each of us faces situations that are beyond us. We wonder how we can handle each experience we encounter. Let us not worry or be disturbed, as God never gives us more than we can handle. Our only concern should be to find out what God wants us to do, and then to step out daringly, knowing that we shall have the power we need. God will give us intellectual insight, the right words to say, and the will to do His will. We need not be afraid. Our confidence is knowing that God is on our side. “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8: 31). Remember, God never runs out of strategy or strength. So let us Go for the Win in Christ Jesus — Philippians 3:14.
