Have you ever had the feeling that God has abandoned you? It happens when we have difficulties, pray about them, and there seems to be no answer. At the very time, we doubt Him most; God may be preparing for His big move. We may wonder why He waited so long. Probably we were not ready before. We would have used the answer as a reason for pride, thinking we had accomplished it independently. Be sure of this. God never forgets. We are His covenant people of a faithful promise. He will act when we are ready and in His timing. Will we wish to spoil the best that God has for us by getting it at the wrong time and in the wrong way? Let us wait for the Lord; He is forever faithful! — Exodus 2:23-25
