Israel awaited a Messiah who would bring peace on earth. God's Messiah, Jesus, was victorious over the great enemy that is sin. Jesus brought a much more generous peace: reconciliation between God and man. Christ can, indeed, bring peace to any situation. The most difficult circumstance, the most ruthless enemy, the most profound pain—none of these are beyond Christ's reach. No one brings peace like Jesus! He calms our hearts and minds. What do we need from the Messiah right now? A Counselor? A Mighty God? A Prince of Peace? The Messiah can be all these in our lives and much more. Jesus is the answer to every need in our lives. Why not seek Him and cling on to Him. Jesus loves us, you and me!  — Isaiah 9:6
