Looking ahead

We know that God’s promises are forever true, for they have been fulfilled in our lives over and over again. Jesus teaches, guides, protects, heals, comforts, and does such much for us. So why not give Him our complete trust and live securely in His care and love for us. So that, we can confidently say like David, “I trust in you, Lord; I say, ‘You are my God.’ My times are in your hands” (Psalm 31:14-15). Can we boldly say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid” (Hebrews 13:6). Though we may have concerns about the days ahead, as Scripture reminds us, we “do not know what will happen tomorrow” (James 4:14). But we do know that whatever happens, God will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). That profound knowledge should lighten any burden or worry we may have about the past, present, or future. By the Grace of God, we can face each day with courage. Worry can do many things to us, but Prayer can do a lot of things for us. — Hebrews 13:8
