The Bible is clear; God will judge sin and sinners. God does not overlook sin nor pretend we did not stray. Indeed like a loving parent, God corrects us when we err. The good thing is, God also promises that He will be with us through the period of chastisement. God uses this discipline to strengthen our faith. No matter what, God is ready to lift us in His arms in the act of love and to show us that He is always “there and near.” When God disciplines us, let us be open to His correction and then receive His embrace. His admonishment further enriches our relationship with Him. — Jeremiah 30:11
