God opens and closes doors. The unique thing is that a closed door can affirm a different open door. When we commit ourselves to God’s will, distracting, lesser, unguided doors are closed to us. The mission of a committed Christian is to walk through the open doors and not try to beat down the closed doors. There are times when it is evident that we need to undergo the spiritual maturity necessary to deepen our walk with God, especially when it is time to move up that spiritual rung to the next phase. When our eyes and hearts are centered on God, we will view closed doors and life setbacks as simply part of the plan, and God’s will for perhaps something better. So let us remember to react with confidence and courage rather than dismay. Let us pray on what the Lord wants us to do, make a commitment, and get on with it! — Luke 9:56
