In our pride, we fail to see our accomplishments as fueled and blessed by God. We fail to give God credit for the ways He enables us to fulfill the tasks He calls us to do. We tend to take credit for our accomplishments instead of acknowledging that our abilities, as well as our success, are God's gifts. In the light of how God deals with haughtiness, we are wise to praise the Lord for the success and victories in our lives and rely on Him for strength daily.  Pride has brought many great leaders and nations down. We must stay alert, for we are not immune to pride charms. — Ezekiel 31:10-11
