The Bible teaches that we all need rescuing. We are all of us in the wrong in God’s eyes because of our sin- and we stand separated from our loving Heavenly Father. But the good news is that God loves us far too much to leave us there. He sent Jesus into the world to get us out of the mess we were in, and into the place He always wanted us to be. Thanks to Jesus, Salvation is now possible. All we have to do is confess our sins and believe Jesus paid the penalty and God will put things right. More than that, when we asked Jesus into our hearts we receive His righteousness- His right standing before God. That is glorious news! It means that while once we are in the wrong, now we are in the right, all because of Jesus Christ! No one who comes to Jesus will be turned away. Today, let us go to Him with all our sins- just as we are. Our Savior’s salvation, purchased with His death on the cross, can make us just as we should be.
