All we have is entrusted to us by God. Sometimes, the mistake we make is beginning to place our trust solely on those things rather than on our God and Maker, who made such items available to us. For instance, how we deal with money and possessions. Unfortunately, the consequence of our society is that what we earn, the value of our properties, and the power of our positions are so integral to how we and others view ourselves. However, we cannot talk about putting God first until all such expenditures are put squarely under God's Will. How often do we ask God's direction in financial matters? Do we pray about our budget? Do we follow the Biblical advice of Tithing? Do we take care of the needy amongst us? This Christmas season, let us take the time to set our priorities straight. Let us commit all our actions, endeavors, and how we approach finances/possessions to our Heavenly Father, who always has the best plans and guidance. — Matthew 6:24
