There is no triumph more remarkable than what Jesus accomplished on the cross. His victory over sin and death enables us to be in a relationship with God Almighty, our Heavenly Father. The victorious Christian life is lived out by God's Gift of the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit that breaks sinful patterns in our lives. Let us seek to obey God's will and allow the Holy Spirit's power to work in us. Are we presently overcoming the world, or is the world overcoming us? There is no temptation or persecution at the world's disposal that can defeat Christ in us. The strength to overcome is from God, and we have a great deal more power than we know. So, let us access that power today and every day to experience fresh victories in our lives. — 1 John 5:4
