Steadfast and Resolute

In Luke 18, we read about the story of a widow's persistent request to the judge for justice against her adversary until she got the results she needed. Jesus told this story to teach us the need to pray continually and not give up, even if our prayers appear delayed. God is undoubtedly not an unjust Judge who must be harassed before He responds to us. On the contrary, he is our loving Father, who cares about us and hears us when we cry to Him. Regular, persistent prayer draws us closer to God. Our God welcomes our prayers and encourages us to approach Him with our pleas and requests. He will come to our aid in ways we may not even fathom. As we bring our needs before God and walk with the One who already knows our needs, let us wait patiently in faith for His response. — Luke 18:7
