The Bible is our road map for life here on earth and for life eternal. As believers we have been touched by God’s grace; and are called upon to study God’s Holy Word, trust His Word, follow its commandments, and share its Good News with the world. The words of Matthew 4:4 remind us that, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” As believers, we must study the Bible and meditate upon its meaning for our lives. God’s Holy Word is, indeed, a transforming gift from ‘our Father which art in heaven’ (Matthew 6:9). That is why we cannot live by bread alone/running after life’s demands but must study the Bible—God’s guidance gift to us. When we place God’s Word at the center of our lives, we are truly blessed. — 2 Peter 3:18
