Today let us remember that God’s definition of success may differ from the world’s standards. Many determine a person’s worth by power, wealth, fame, position, or beauty. However, such markers are limited—inspiring pride simply by our accomplishments and despair over setbacks and disappointments. Our Father, however, does not appraise us according to these temporary standards. To Him, we are lovable and valuable even before we are born. This means success is not about proving ourselves but honoring God and becoming all He created us to be. So instead of chasing after what is fleeting and unsatisfying, let us seek God’s eternal purposes for our lives through an intimate relationship with Him. Let us see challenges as opportunities to pray and glorify God. Let us trust Him and remember that those who do His will shall always succeed. 1 John 2:17
