Trust and Faithfulness

Failure to seek guidance from God inevitably leads to catastrophe. God will not force His counsel upon us, even though hearing it and heeding it would be for our good. Instead, we must desire God's will and obey it whenever He reveals it to us. Sometimes God's promises take longer than we want to come to fruition. The intervening time can be a period of struggle, but when we are in such a season of life, let us never doubt the promises from God. If God says something will happen, it will happen. When what the good God has promised does indeed occur, let us know that the glory belongs to Him and see that He is honored. Too often, we are quick to cry out to God for help but slow to shout our thanks and praise after He gives us the victory. The best way to remain constantly in God's will is to be in continuous communion with God. For our Lord is Good. His Loving Kindness is Everlasting. When we do not understand what the Lord is doing, let us trust, honor, and remain thankful for His goodness. — 1 Chronicles 10:14
