Trusting and Believing

Abraham and Sarah waited many years for the birth of Isaac, and because they were human, some seasons of their waiting were characterized by more faith than others. Faith means trust or confidence in obedience. Faith is belief in action. Faith in Christ believes that His death and resurrection covered our sin and gave us access to God. Essential to that belief is repentance from sin and the willful decision to follow Christ as Lord and Savior. The sure evidence of a relationship with God is faith. Only those who know God will trust Him. So when we struggle to have faith in God, we need to spend some time to know Him through reading the Bible. God wants to grow our faith, so it does not waiver. The greater our faith, the more we will glorify Him. So let us turn to God and let Him strengthen our faith today. — Romans 4:20
