The rainbow is a sign of the end of the storm. It has been a symbol of God’s faithfulness to His people through the ages. It is in the storm of life that we need to remember the rainbow. When the rains fall and the winds blow in life’s adversities, we need the courage to remember that the storm will end and the rainbow will appear. Only the covenant God has made with us can give us that kind of fortitude. Our hope is not that we can earn God’s love but that He has chosen to be our God, our Savior, and our Heavenly Father. Beyond the rainbow is a cross. More significant than a sign in the heavens, the cross establishes a new covenant of Grace and forgiveness. The cross tells us how much God loves us and the extent He was willing to go to make us His own. When we look at the cross, we know that at the center of the universe, there is a giving, forgiving, unchanging, unlimited love that will never let us go. — Genesis 9:13
