God loves us too much to leave us as we are. He works in our lives and our hearts to make us more like Christ. Therefore, let us not misunderstand God’s discipline in our lives. It is not a sign that God does not love us or has abandoned us. Rather, it is an indication that God loves us deeply and wants us to experience His very best. Our Heavenly Father reproves and disciplines us because He loves us. Accordingly, when God sees us straying from His path, falling into sin, or getting lazy in our devotion, He will not ignore it. Instead, He showers us with an unwavering and transforming love and brings to bear in our lives whatever is needed for us to live at the center of His will. Wow! What a loving and caring God who loves us more than we can ever imagine. — Hebrews 12:7
