There are times in every Christian's life when the enemy attacks us with temptation after temptation. Sometimes, it comes when we are exhausted and low; when our defenses are down, and we are particularly vulnerable. When we are in this condition, we are particularly open to spiritual attacks. These attacks can come in various forms: a consistent assault on our integrity, an act of great injustice against us, or a continuous enticement to give in to temptations (i.e., money, vices, etcetera). The scenario is numerous. That is the bad news. However, the good news is this, while it may seem the enemy has the upper hand, God is still on His throne. God still rules. God is in control. God is the “Great, I Am!” He does not allow the enemy to test us beyond our limits, and in every trial and temptation, He is there empowering us to overcome. So when we feel entrapped by trial and temptation, let us ask our Heavenly Father to show us His escape route and follow Him out into a new day of freedom! — 1 Corinthians 10:13
