When you and I make the decision to follow Jesus Christ, from that moment on, our lives are not our own. We belong to Abba, Father. We become adopted sons and daughters of God. Our lives are under His loving authority and in His tender hands. Everything we are and everything we have is on trust from Him. As we look at our own lives, we see we have been adopted into the family of God. In Christ, we have a new Father, a new family, a new freedom, and a new future. We can no longer be enslaved by the devil, the father of lies. We can proudly say that we now belong to our Heavenly Father, as we are His beloved children. Today, let us thank Jesus for rescuing us and placing us in the family of God. It is good to know  where we belong! — John 17:9
