As we grow in our walk with the Lord, let us ask ourselves: “How can we still be useful to God? Are there services we can render that will fill our days with significance? Are we needed?” Of course we are! God has use for us. He is looking for those who are ready to get the work done, to spread the Good News message. Just as He needed the donkey to carry Him through the streets of Jerusalem, perhaps our work will be one brief task. Or it may be some activity (like a ministry) that will fully occupy our years. It may be an opportunity to share our faith with someone, to intercede for someone, or to love someone through quiet acts of kindness. There will always be something for us to do. In the meantime, we must prepare ourselves through prayer, Bible reading, and quiet listening—ready for the moments that our Lord calls on us. Shall we be ready when our Lord needs us Remember, God has work for all His children, regardless of age or ability! — Luke 19:34
